For Guests & Community
First and foremost, welcome to Right Track Resource Center. Whether you are here because you need a warm, safe place to stay the night or because you'd like to be connected with resources toward housing stability, you've come to the right place. Read on to find out some of things you can expect at the RTRC facility.
Can I bring my pet?
Your pet is welcome at Right Track Resource Center, and we ask that they remain with you and leashed at all times. (When you're in your room with the door closed and if your roommate is okay with it, you may take your dog off leash.) Find our official pet policy and other links at the bottom of this page!
Where do I get in?
Resource Center (daytime, year-round): please enter through the front door and sign in.

Warming Station (nighttime, winter only): for your safety, we ask that you enter the building through the side gate (on the parking-lot side of the building) and back door after 5pm. There is a covered patio in the back yard. The back yard is the only place smoking is allowed. If you smoke, please stay 10 feet away from the building and use the ash trays provided.
What time do you open at night and close in the morning?
The Resource Center is currently open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am - 3pm, with no appointment necessary.

From November 15 through March 15, Warming Station doors open to guests at 6:00 PM, though our volunteers may arrive earlier. We ask that you arrive after 5:00 PM and wait in the back yard until opening. In the morning, we close our Warming Station operation at 8am.
What can I expect once I'm inside?
During Warming Station operational months (Nov. 15 through Mar. 15), you will be greeted by one of our amazing volunteers or staff members at 6 PM. You will be asked to sign in, and to fill out some paperwork if this is your first visit. Then you will receive a plastic tote container with a fitted sheet, a blanket, a pillow, and a pillowcase inside. Please write your name on the side of this tote and take it with you to your assigned room. If you find yourself needing more blankets, just ask a volunteer and they will be happy to assist you. In the morning, whether you expect to come back again or not, please leave your tote under the "Used Totes" sign in the main room.

Please know there is no co-ed sleeping, and rooms are assigned based on gender identity and family status.
Will there be food?
Resource Center: RTRC offers food during walk-in lunch hours, as available. We operate a food pantry, so if you are struggling with housing insecurity, you are welcome to connect with that resource as well.

Warming Station: we strive to provide a hot meal for anyone in our community who needs it, even if you don't want to stay the night. Once you sign in, you'll be offered a plate of hot food, safely prepared and served by our volunteer cooking crew. You can also help yourself to the grab-and-go snacks on the shelves near the kitchen. Often, breakfast foods like instant oatmeal or cold cereal are available in the mornings as well.
Do you have warm coats or gloves?
We aim to keep some essential clothing on the premises at all times: gloves, socks, and underwear. You are welcome to help yourself to these items. If you need larger items, such as a coat or sleeping bag, please ask a volunteer or staff to help search our inventory on site. If we can't find what you need, feel free to ask about our Essential Needs Voucher program which connects you to local thrift stores.
Can I leave my belongings at the facility?
Over the winter, you are welcome to leave personal items in your tote. If you have belongings that don't fit in the tote, we have some limited space in the garage for temporary storage. Anything left in your room after checkout will be discarded without exception. Basically, we ask that you leave your room as clean as you found it.

Over the summer, we have limited cubby space in the garage which you can sign up for with staff or volunteers.
What happens if I break the rules?
The mission of Right Track Resource Center is to provide a warm, safe, and welcoming space for all our guests. If one person breaks the rules, it may make another guest feel unsafe. So, depending on the rule that was broken, you may be verbally warned or banned from the facility for a night, week, or season. Please let a volunteer know if you need clarification or help with any of our rules.
Are there any other rules?
Our volunteers and/ or staff will explain to you all the rules in detail and answer any questions you might have. In general, it might be helpful for you to know:
